TITLE: Go Off or Get Out TYPE: Free Verse CRITIQUE: Sure OTHER: Written ages ago. Well, maybe just a year or so.
What’s up with all these love songs? Written in a moment of bliss Then tossed at the first diss. If you meant those words you wrote for me Keep them close to you Don’t abuse me for hearing you scream.
I can’t keep holding on when you make me sick. I need to be strong for both of us. This isn’t going to keep going Because I’ve reached the end of my road And you’re just going to have to jump out. Take a risk Go off the edge with me or get out.
I don’t deserve your torment Your rage is far from necessary. At this point, it’s time for me to say I need you to choose. Take a risk Go off the edge with me or get out.
This car’s moving too fast It’s reaching the drop And you’re still sitting there. You’re silent and still and not with me But you’re still sitting right there. Why won’t you say something? Can’t you just make your decision And stop dangling me by this thread?
Looking ahead, I see it now The edge is before me And you’re still just a presence A lingering memory of sheer happiness. The time has come Make your choice. Take a risk Go off the edge with me or get out.

WOAH. This is old. I love that reading this after reading your more recent work shows exactly how much you have grown as a writer (and as a person), and yet it is still so wonderful and brilliant, like always. <3

Hehehe. Yeah, I came across it on RB and my jaw was dangling around my toes. d: I wrote this last April. XD You know whom about. And, seriously, how much have things changed? If I were to write about the situation now, I know it would be different and...that's so...happy. ;D
